Found a way of the flute to make sound

LOL, Abby. Um, you can tune it to whatever pitches you like, using the pegs. Its really up to you, because since its so small in scale, it is impossible to tune it to regular 4ths or 5ths.

I think Jeanette once said the violin doesn't make any sound, which makes sense to me as a violinist. Even if you rosin up the bow sufficiently, the strings are not made of the right kind of substance. You'd have to have real violin strings on there, and though I don't have the violin, I'm betting they're just some kind of metal wire. And as Abby said, the strings probably wouldn't be taut enough anyway.

Edited to add that I see that adri was able to make the squeak after all. To get much tone though, you'd need real strings.

Oh, well I don't use the bow, really! I do it pizzicato style - plucking the strings. =) Its really not bad...

I think AG needs to make a harp.

It breaks? What do you mean? I got mine in 1997.

I have an older AG violin and as a violinist myself I've tried it out. It cannot be tuned like a real violin (and thus does not play "real" notes) but it can make a sort of squeaky sound if you tighten the strings enough, put rosin on the bow (I used my actual violin bow) or pluck the strings.
